Error after Caputring Video via firewire

Getting weird error messages after capturing video from a JVC GY-500 via firewire after pressing the "DONE" key . Also Xp recoginzes therror as a vidcap.exe program error. Any ideas?? I actually am able to find the file and drag into vegas just fine. Just unsure why I'm always getting the damn error message and a complete shutdown of the caputre video executable from Vegas. On ething also I have noticed is that even though the option of adding to the media pool is check-marked, after erroring out, it doesn't show up.
Thanks to all who can help....I've tried this on 3 different systems, and all the same...I am running Vegas 5.0b

This happens to me too. You need to pause the camera after capture, until you've finished 'Titling' your clip and closed out the Capture section. If you turn your camera off as soon as capture ends, for some reason the error message pops up after about 10-15 seconds, if no signal is going through your firewire. At least, that's my experience. I'm using Vegas 4.0 .
