Good evening:
I apologize for making a topic on something that shows up on the FAQ, but please bear with me. I've followed most of the suggestions that bear weight as possible solutions, though I note that not all of the numbered points actually address the error code -59. I did send an inquiry to Magix support on Friday (edit: Correction, Saturday) as well, but I decided to turn to the community hoping for a solution in case I don't get a reply soon...
Including: Deleting recommended registry files pertaining to Licenses, Disabling Anti-Viruses/Setting up Exceptions, Disabling Firewall, Running as Admin, Running in Compatibility Modes, and of course... uninstalling and reinstalling inbetween various steps here.
Full context: Been using Vegas for a while at work, and decided to switch to it at home after getting a new PC built up. Not a novice at using PC's either. I have a rig capable of running Vegas Pro 14 (GTX 980ti, Xeon E5 2670, 32 GB of ram). After installing the Vegas Pro (I've used both the download manager version that also enables the download/installation of DVD Architect, as well as the individual Vegas Pro 14 downloads), I'm always confronted with the same error message of "Error Code: -59" followed by "An error occurred starting VEGAS Pro. There is no license to use this software." instead of it opening up the Authorization/License Verification/Input window.
The most common solution I've seen is deleting registry files (I've backed up and deleted more than my fair share at this point), but I'm wondering if there's something on my network's end blocking the attempt to open or access the License/Software Activation portion of the program.
Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for reading.
Error Code: -59
