Error : File Output Render types not found

I have VPPA 1.0.15 installed along with Vegas Pro 9.0c 64-bit on a new Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit build.
Everything was installed and located in default locations on the c: drive.
I am unable to access many of the file output render types from VPPA due to a Batch file error. When I go to choose to edit such presets (such as All major web outputs), I get an error that certain outputs are not found, which subsequently disappeared from my template list. Some render types do work, just not all the ones that were originally listed. I can render from the timeline in Vegas Pro using a much greater variety of templates than in VPPA. These files seem to be located in a folder called FileIO Plug-ins within the Vegas Pro 9 folder.
I suspect there is a problem with the installer creating an incorrect path to the Vegas Pro render folder. The programs were installed in two separate Sony Folders, one in Program Files, and another in Program Files (x86), which is where VPPA is located. Some Project Templates for VPAA seem to be located in the My Documents:Sony:Production Assistant folder.
Can I create my own render output file template list, or should I reinstall to to main Sony folder where Vegas Pro is located? Unfortunately, I saved over the original template list, and all the preset choices are not available.ideally, I would like to use my own custom settings for YouTube HD output which are based on the 720p HD output settings in Vegas, and add this to the batch rendering, so I can save to YouTube, iPod and DVD outputs using VPPA.

There is nothing wrong with your install. Sony changed the Main Concept AVC internal designator in the Vegas Pro 9.0c update and this is why many of the templates won't load this render type. These work perfectly fine in Vegas Pro 9.0b, 9.0a, 9.0, and all version of Vegas Pro 8.0abc. If we change the templates, then all the other versions will give errors. We could look into making an installer that is sensitive to the sub version of Vegas but this will still give errors is you update Vegas between any version before B and any version after C. We will look at what we can provide in an update.

In the mean time you can recreate any of the templates and add back the Main Concept AVC encoder. Just look at what template is being used before you press Edit List and add those back manually. The template are just examples. Feel free to create your own.

All of the render types in Vegas are available to Production Assistant. Be sure to note that there are far fewer render types in Vegas Pro 64-bit than there are in Vegas Pro 32-bit. Could this be the discrepancy that you are seeing?

Thank you for the quick reply. Your suggestion to add back the Main Concept AVC encoder worked to eliminate the error. I also added the Sony AVC 16:9 HD 30P renderer to my list, and edited a copy it to include the 1080p setting for YouTube. The custom setting name did show up in my list; I just had to close and reopen Vegas Pro for the setting to appear.

Actually all you needed to do was close and open Production Assistant and it would have refreshed the list. But you shouldn't even have to do that. I will look into adding a "refresh" button in the future to make it easier to refresh the list of render templates. Thanks for the feedback.
