What kind of camera? High def? What format?
zimrsz wrote on 12/13/2010, 6:36 AM
not high def....just a regular camcorder
never had that error before. used it several times and captured and edited fine

<regular camcorder>
That can mean many different things to different people. What is it exactly, how long is the video, are you using fire wire or USB to capture?
zimrsz wrote on 12/13/2010, 10:39 AM
firewire never really worked---at least it never detected the camera
i have a standard def camcorder and use the usb
i just tried about 10 seconds worth and it says it is successful and i see it capturing it. but as soon as it is done and says it's successful, it gives me that error...

Firewire is by far the most prefered method for this program. I would definately revist that option. USB can work, but most (including myself) have found it to be hit and miss. (with more miss)

with firewire, it never detects the camera.....
with usb, it does and captures, but i just get the error....

any hints on firewire then and why it won't pick up my camera?

To echo OMG's words, what make and model is the camcorder?
zimrsz wrote on 12/14/2010, 11:48 AM
it's a panasonic sd mini dv GS320
i didn't have issues in the past, but now i do
i tried to find drivers or something but i can't find anything at all
when i use the firewire, i get the "device cirrus logic usb dvr2" can'be found error
