error installing VP9.0-64 on Win7

Anyone out there run into and resolve this VP9.0 install problem?

During the "Unpacking Wizard" it gets up to vidcap.cab, then gives me the following message:

Please make sure you have local system administrator privileges on this system. Cancelling the installation.

I am running as admin, have tried it in compatibility mode for Vista (as well as Vista sp1, sp2), with UAC disabled, and even in safe mode, with the same result.

(Yes, I know, "Win7 is unsupported," but it's in everyone's interest to identify and fix such problems asap, isn't it?)

This is not much help - but I installed Windows 7 x64 this morning - and after letting it do all updates I downloaded and installed Vegas 9.0 x64. There were no problems at all - and it runs fast as he.. (sorry)

Your problem has something to do with that the "Admin" has really not full admin rights by default (strange, but true).
I did not create any users on my machine at all - and so avoided this old Vista problem.

Edit: Ah, I found something: http://www.computerworld.com/action/article.do?command=viewArticleBasic&articleId=9015738&pageNumber=2 hope it is the right thing.

I have just solved this. Wow, Sony, this is a strange one.

My original download was from the link sent along with my VP9 purchase. That one consistently has failed to install.

I just redownloaded the VP9 trial version - and the installer is now WORKING!

The file size is identical -- either my first download got corrupted, or the two files are internally different in some marginal way.

Probably a slightly corrupt download. I also had to re-download once in, I think, Vegas 7 or 8.
