I sent this message to the Sony Support center, but they kicked it back, claiming that my OS (Vista Home Premium) was not supported.
I have used this copy of DVD Architect Studio 2.0 very successfully since 2004, and I have never received Error Messages. Just recently (within the past week), I went to open Architect, and I was prompted to enter the S/N. I thought this strange, since I had done so on installation.
I then began receiving an Error Message when I try to open several .dar files that I have created previously. The message is:
Windows - No Disk
Exception Processing Message 0xc0000013 Parameters 0x762F023C 0x84651E2C 0x762F023C 0x762F023C
The buttons below are CANCEL, TRY AGAIN, and CONTINUE.
I click all 3 buttons, but to no effect. Architect then locks up, greys out, and I have to shut it down manually.
Via the original CD, I have tried to repair the install, as well as uninstall the program. I get the error message: ERROR 1721 PROBLEM WITH WINDOWS INSTALLER PACKAGE.
When I use Windows' Control Panel Add/Remove programs, I can uninstall and install Architect without that ERROR 1721 message. But I still cannot open said .dar files; I still get the same Error Message (see above). Incidentally, when I reinstall the program, I am not prompted for the S/N (it is already inputted with my name); nor am I prompted to register the product.
I then thought that perhaps the .dar files themselves were corrupt.
I installed Architect on my laptop, and the .dar files in question open just fine. So I conclude that there is a problem with the desktop install, NOT the files themselves.
Please advise!
