While preparing a Blu-Ray image in DVDA under Vista 64, I keep getting a "External Video Renderer has stopped working" message in a windows pop-up
I just updated to 5.0a and I didn't get this in 5.0

Then I get an error message saying "An error occured while writing the file, the reason could not be determined"

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but that didn't help

Did you ever get this problem resolved? I just migrated to Vista 64 bit and am getting the same error.

I received a response from the original poster. He installed version 5.0 and everything worked. I did the same and it is working fine now. Sony messed up something with version 5.0a and burning to Blu-ray on Vista 64 bit.

And it's not just a Vista 64 problem. I am getting it on Vista 32 with DVDA 5.0b

Reverted to 5.0 and I can burn Blu-Ray again.
