Error Message/Exception

I'm wondering if anyone has encountered the "exception" below when Vegas crashes (I submitted this directly to Sony also).

As a start, I've tried all the suggestions people recommend here: 1 core rendering setting, shutting down all other programs/virus scan, I've even detached from the internet, etc., etc.

I'm trying to render into either a Cineform intermediate (1440 x 1080 24p) or a MainConcept mp4 HDV file, but Vegas crashes. I'm not complaining about Vegas in general, as the veg file contains many hours of HDV footage, fx, etc. I was even able to render a 1/2 hour clip, then I tried another 15 minute portion with the same settings, and Vegas crashed. I then tried to render into 720p, and I could do a minute or two, but then Vegas crashed. All at different spots in the timeline. But if anyone has any suggestions, I'm all ears.

Exception I received is below:

Exception 0xC0000005 (access violation) WRITE:0xC1C0 IP:0x6CAE12
In Module 'vegas80.exe' at Address 0x400000 + 0x2CAE12

Try this here:

Some are having success with it... although I don't think it has been tried on cineform or hdv yet.

Blink,
That looks VERY promising... I'll give it a shot tonight when I get home. I figured out a temporary workaround until I can try your recommendation: I had a 2 hour timeline, and I just added markers at 15 minute clips, deleted everything outside those regions, saved as a new veg, "Removed all Unused Media," and rendered. I think I'm just asking a lot for a home computer, as I have about 65-70 hours of HDV footage, mass amounts of fx, numerous video/audio tracks, etc.

Thanks again.

Edit: my workaround brought down the size of the veg from about 2.5 MB to just around 100K, so I think that's been a great help.
