Error message when opening mp3 file format

Message reads:
Warning! an error occured when opening one or more files.

The file format plugin for the specified format was not properly initialized.

Please help me with correcting this problem.

Demo mode? MP3 may not be supported in the demo.

If not, somethings changed the registry. Try running the installer again and selecting the "repair" option. If that doesn't work, reinstall.
