Error message when rendering...

Hey everybody, I'm relatively new to this world, so bear with me please. I have Vegas Movie Studio & DVDArchitect 4 Platinum Edition. I have finished 3 DVD's, so I'm not a 100% nooby, but I am not an expert...

The latest disc I have finished in Vegas, when I hit the "Make Movie" page, and make my selections (Burn it to DVD > Save Markers >), it runs for about 75% of the rendering, and then an error message pops up that says, "An Error Occurred while creating the Media File Gothic Disc 2.mpg. The Reason for the error could not be determined." Also, when I have subsequently tried rendering this, when I get finished making my setting selections, it says, "Gothic Disc 2 already exists...." despite nothing being in the folder when I view it w/ explorer.

I have not changed any settings from disc to disc. I have checked the simple things (space on HD, memory alloted), but I'm out of ideas. I've tried rendering this 4 times, & the error has happened every time. Please give me suggestions to try.....

Thanks - J

What frame was it on when you got the error? Can you see anything unique on the timeline at that frame?

Thats the thing, when the error message pops up, it doesn't tell me any frame information. An Error Window pops, and the only command it gives me is "OK" and when I click that, Vegas pops up & there is no information about % completed.

There is no tricky media in this project. It is a concert and the only generated media I have is Title Overlays when different songs start, a title sequence, a credit roll,. and a couple of transitions.

OK, an update. Apparently it DID render (sort of).

The 1st 1:33:38 rendered w/o any audio.

I split it in two and when I did that, the first 1/2 (approx 53 minutes) rendered perfectly w/ audio.

Altogether, the whole video is about 106 minutes long. Is that simply too big of a file for Vegas to render in 1 piece?

The file that rendered that was w/o audio was 97% of a 4.7G disc according to DVD Architect.
