Error Message while trying to burn DVD

I am using a new Sony external burner, DRX500ULX to burn a project in DVD-A onto a DVD-RW. During the past two days, I keep getting an error message during the burning process, which halts it altogether. It had been working fine before. I then installed the Firmware 2.0f update from Sony's site. I keep getting the same error. I contacted Sony, but they will not provide any support since 'they don't support other company's products' (which I thought was funny). BTW, I'm running XP on a P4, 2.4 GHZ with 512 ram on a 40 gig drive. Here's the message:
