Error Messages

In the Prepare DVD I am getting a message that says the total size of all the menus is greater that 1GB. Unless I get rid of this error message I can't burn my project. Is there anyway of overriding this error? Or any pointers on how to fi this problem? It doesn't tell me exactly where the problem is or what I can do to fix it. I am only using around 80% of storage on my DVD media.

Without knowing exactly what you have created for menu's it going to be tough to give a specific answer, but you'll need to reduce the complexity of your menu(s). For example, if you have created a menu with a movie clip for the background, then you may need to reduce the size of the clip you used.

If you have lots of menus with animated thumbnails, you may need to shorten the amount of time allocated for the thumbnails, or reduce the number of them.

How many menus do you have?

What are you using for their backgrounds?

Did you accidentally bring one or more of your videos in as a menu background instead of a media item?

That error message means exactly what it says -- you are allowed up to 1GB total for menus, and you have exceeded that amount. It doesn't matter if you're only using 80% of the disc space, the 1GB limit is for menus.

It's most likely that you brought in a clip as either a background or a thumbnail that is too long. Check the duration for each.
