Error messages!

Hi,
I'm getting 2 error messages. First, it says my menu exceeds 1gb, but I have it set to go straight to the video without opening menus.
Second, I'm getting a message that there isn't room in the temp folder to render the video - this is my first time doing a dual layer, and I'm having issues. Good news is I have to fix it today! Help?

Did you go to File > New > Single Movie Project? That's the best way to create a DVD without menus. If you did anything else, my guess is that you dragged the video to the menu's timeline, which still has a menu -- it just uses your video as the menu background.

As for the temp folder, how many harddrives do you have and how much space is on them? Generally speaking, the drive with your temp folder should have at least twice the size of your project so that DVD Architect has some breathing room while it creates the DVD files. If the drive doesn't have enough space, you'll need to either clear more space or use a different drive. (I never liked that error message. It's misleading. Unless your system is set up with quotas (which Windows normally isn't), folders don't have "room" -- drives have room.)

Hi Rob,

You were right on the first one. I'd tried it that way and it did something odd, so I'd changed it. It worked this time.

I am using an external drive to store the rendered video, and it has tons of room. Is there a folder on my C:/ drive where it stashes data while rendering? If so, do you know how I can change it to my external?

Thanks for the help!

Yup. Go to Options > Preferences > Burning tab

Change the Temporary Files Folder setting as needed.
