I know this used to happen a lot in the earlier versions of Vegas 4, I thought they had it fixed in version 4.0c. Did you first install Vegas 4.0 and then upgrade to 4.0d or did you just do a install of 4.0d??

If you started at 4.0 and then upgraded to 4.0d you might want to do a uninstall and then just install 4.0d and none of the previous versions.

I have upgraded Vegas each time without a problem. I'd investigate the "upgrade" to XP instead.

All were a fresh install, no upgrading to 4d.

There seems to be a theme on the forum about upgrades, uninstalling, reinstalling mosaic. Some of my problems occured when I had "uninstalled" previous versions, but the folders still resided in my system in Explore. On recommendation of Support, I went through and DELETED all old folders and then did a fresh reinstall of V4d. Problems went away. Give it a try. DGrob
