error occured while writing file

Every time I try to prepare my Single Movie (with 1 extra angle) DVDA project, I get "an error occured while writing file, the reason could not be determined" error message. Anybody know why this could be. It happens in DVDA 5 on both Vista64 and XP32
Source files are NTSC DV AVIs.
It gets past the render process (which takes 2-3 hours) and then while on the prepare, I get this message.
Anybody know what I can do to fix this?

I have been having this exact same problem when trying to render menu based projects containing more than 2 videos.
Never had this problem in any previous DVDA, but 5.0 is a big problem. Today I downloaded and installed the 5.0a update and also built the project over from scratch.
First I tried to render using 5.0a and still had the same problem, which seems to occur after rendering but before DVDA builds the video objects for the DVD.
I then created a new version of the project using 5.0a instead of 4.5 and I'll have an answer to the question of if it works in another 4 hours. That's something strange as well, what was taking around 3 hours for a project with 5 13 minute videos is now taking 5 hours to render. I wonder what that's about too.

5 hours later, I discover there is no resolution to this problem!
I got an error message telling me there was an error processing an mpeg file. Too bad all files are avi.
I guess I have to go back into Vegas and rerender all avi files as mpeg2 files.
This stinks! Maybe I'll be better off downgrading back to DVDA 4.5. I'm not doing high def work yet anyway.
