OK, this is annoying but since I upgraded to Vegas 3.0; occasionally I get errors that cause my machine to hang when I open the FX chainer on a track while the song is playing, if I pause or stop the song it's fine. It has happened with only one (mono) track in the song as well as when there are multiple tracks; it happens in nearly every song, but doesn’t happen every time. It didn’t happen in VA2.0 . The machine does not crash hard (Windows 2000 pro, SP2), so I am able to close everything and reboot normally, but vegas certainly hangs and the machine keeps repeating whatever is in the buffer (like a stuck CD).
