Error saving MP4 files in project

I seem to be having problems importing MP4 footage from a GoPro Hero 9. Current example is 4k footage taken, MP4 footage. Vegas is not allowing me to drag into Project Media, but I can File-Open and select footage. This then opens and I can edit as normal. However, I cannot then save these project files. Error warning as follows:

An error occured while saving the project file Untitled.veg

An error occured writing the file. Make sure you have write access to the file/folder and that there is enough free space.

I don't get it. This is Vegas Pro 18, a video editing program and it will not allow user to drag in MP4 files?

Run Vegas as an administrator? Be sure you are saving in a folder where you have access?

Are you only having this issue with GoPro mp4 files or is that the only type of footage you have?

Home PC desktop. I'll try reboot and running as admin, but this seems to be a new problem. Very odd.

Home desktop PC, in another drive. It's my own computer though, so no problems with access (private drives etc).
