Vegas pro is crashing everytime I open it. Sometimes, it lets me click on the timeline then it crashes. the message I get is" unmanaged exception and the
fault mode is C:\Program Files\Sony\Vegas Pro 10.0\FileIO Plug-Ins\aviplug
It doesn't matter how much I have on the timeline. It does this no matter what.

Does anyone know how to fix this? I searched the forums here in windows 7 and in Vegas pro 10 and didn't find anything.
I use a seagate external 1tb harddrive.
