Hi Everyone,
I created a Vegas Pro 11 project and burned blu rays without problem using DVDA 6.0. I used the same project to create a DVD and now when trying to burn the prepared project, it errors out with the following message....any assistance would be appreciated....last time I created a similar project, I had to put it on 2 DVDs, but thought I'd try compressing into a single one this time...thanks!

Hi Everyone,
(Is this page loading in German for anybody else, or just me?)

I searched and saw some people had this issue with certain types of discs....I thought I purchased safe ones...what do you think?

I picked up some of these just now...will report back in to let you know how they work....these are what I used a few years back....not sure the difference between DVD-R and DVD+R .... horrible marketing in my opinion:

Verbatim makes one of the most reliable brands of discs.

However, make sure the DVD burner on your computer is compatible with your discs! You can't burn DVD-R discs in a DVD+R burner and vice versa. (Many newer computers have "super drives" that burn to either format -- and sometimes to BluRay also.

As for your DVD player, it doesn't care whether the discs are DVD+R or DVD-R. All home-burned discs have a pretty likelihood of being playable on a given player.

I called LITEON and spoke with their tech support. They were some of the best tech support guys I've dealt with. They informed me that my driver was still on the very first version and they've had 10 updates since then. I updated it and still get the same error, except with PL06 instead of CL04. I am going to try rendering again and see if that could be the issue.

I've gotten somewhere! I split my movie into two DVD burns, with about 7 chapters each and the first one burned successfully! I am thinking the problem may have been a large amount of compression at this time...I'll check back in tomorrow after I test out the second disc.

When splitting my project into two discs, DVDA burns without problem. Merry Christmas everyone!
