When I prepare/render a DVD Project in DA Studio 5 Build 128,I get an error about 20 Minutes into Preparing. The error is 'error when processing mpeg'.I cant find any solution to the problem and Ive never had this problem before with previous versions of DVD Architect.I use Windows 7 64 Bit.I am burning onto a Dual Layer DVD.

What are you using for your source video, Jaws? Is it DVD video that was prepared in Vegas?

Are you editing on your C drive or on a second or external drive?

I ripped a direct MPEG-2 from an DVD-R using a video ripping software. The MPEG-2 File is about 4 Gigabytes and is the standard DVD Mpeg file. The video was not ripped/encoded via Vegas.

Im editing on my C Drive.

Try another ripping software, e.g. Vegas. Have you tried watching the video at about the point where the error occurs? There may be a glitch on the DVD you are ripping.

Ive tried 2 different video ripping softwares...and I have found a glitch in the beginning. There is a slight skip in the first few seconds of the video..the skip only skips about 1 second ahead...Im guessing this is the culprit?

Is this by chance a rip of a rip?
Not a very good place to start.

Perhaps you can repair it in VideoRedo Plus. They have a free trial. Perhaps not.
