Errors on opening VF in Windows 2000

My System:
Video Factory Ver. 1.0, Build 21
Windows 2000
Pentium III/667
524MB RAM

I've installed Video Factory on my Windows 2000 workstation while logged on as the Administrator user. I have two other users on this workstation, "Todd" and "Sound", both of which have Administrator rights.

Only when I'm logged on with the username Sound, do I receive the following error messages when launching the VF. Read on...

After double-clicking on the VF desktop shortcut, the following error messages appear (in order of appearance):

ERROR #1...
Incorrect command line parameters.
Windows Installer. V 1.11.2405.0
Copyright 1999 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.
Portions of this software are based in part on the work of the Independent JPEG Group.

ERROR #2...
There was an error rewriting your shortcuts.
It's recommended that you reinstall to restore all shortcuts.

After clicking OK on this last error window, VF opens and I can use it.

How do I get rid of these error messages???

Thanks for your help!

I had the exact same thing happen to me. I just re-installed the application using the other login and that fixed it for both logins. You'll only have to do that once. Any future upgrades can be installed by any admin user.
