Eureka! It renders Div-X!

After nearly a month trying to render Div-X first from the Vegas timeline, then through VirtualDub (which stopped after 9995 frames) I've found out this: It was all my sound card's (Audigy) fault. After having disabled the Creative mp3 codec, it now works fine with Fraunhofer. Also in Vegas - although Vegas is slow, approx 10 hrs of rendering for a 700 mb Div-X file ...

That's interesting. I dunno that it'll do me any good, but can you remind me exactly how to disable the creative mp3 codec?

What OS do you have? You have to find the audio codecs, in Win 2000 you'll find it by right-clicking "My Computer" and then (somewhere) Device manager.

In Me and 98 youæll hasve to find "Multimedia" in the Control Panel, and then "DEvices"

I think the name of the specific codec is ctmp3... something. You don't have to delete it, you just disable it and restart

In WinXP Pro I found them in CP. But there's no 'ctmp3' in there. The only MP3 codec showing is 'Fraunhofer'. I suspect yours got dumped in there during some phase of the software installation that I must have skipped.

Could be ... What version of Fraunhofer do you have?
