Evenly spacing a group of photos over time

Hi group.
I have a prerecorded audio track that I want to accompany a group of photos.
I can't figure how to get the photo group to space evenly over the specific length of the audio. I want each photo to be displayed for the same number of seconds.
In this instance I have 52 photos to space evenly along with a 08:41:19 audio track.
I have tried everything I can think of.
Thanks

Hi c_picnic:

1) Go to the Options menu.

2) On it you see a selection for Preferences. Press and hold the <Shift> key and then select Preferences at the same time. If you did it successfuly, you will see an extra tab called Internal.

3) Go to the Internal tab.

4) In the edit box for 'Show only prefs containing:', type "Still" (but do not include the quotes). You should have only one item in the list called "ntDefVideoStillLength". This value determines the default length of a still image dropped onto the time line. As you can see, the default value is 50,000,000 which translates to 5 seconds.

5) In the middle column, enter whatever value you will need to evenly space out your 52 photos. For instance, if your audio is 8 minutes and 41 seconds, then that would equate to 521 seconds. Divide that by 52 and it comes out to 10.1 seconds. For simplicity sake, you could set the value in the middle column to 100,000,000. Your last picture will need to be stretched out a bit or you could continue to play with the length (e.g. 100,100,000).

Hope this helps....

Al, you are certainly the clever one!
Yes it works. Great tip.
Offers many possibilities!

Thanks

Here's another one for you.
How do I apply a transition to a string of 52 images.
I have tried every means I can to select all the images and apply a transition
between each image.
No luck after 30 min. I'm really getting irked.
Is it possible to apply the transition to all at once?
Is there a way to specify a 'default transition'?
What are my options here?

thanks again

Hi c_picnic:

Naw... I'm not that clever. Found that little tip from someone else on this forum.

I do not believe you can apply a transition to a group of images all in one shot. You have to do each individually. Also not sure about specifying a default transition either.
