Event grouping stops working: bug?

Hi there,

I have noticed in my version of Vegas 11 build 595 (64 bits) that my event grouping gets messed up at random moments, even though I have the " Ignore event grouping" button turned off.

Part of the clips on my timeline all of a sudden are not connected to their audio track anymore, where they were a moment before.
Does anyone know what this could be?

Marcel

I've never heard of this being a problem before. However, you can see a visual layout of your project Event groupings to verify that you had valid groupings to begin with. My free Timeline Tools Vegas Add-In utility provides a Tree view that shows all of your projects group assignments. With this feature you can verify that your groupings are valid. And you can view the status of your groupings after you believe they have changed.

The above image is from the Timeline Tools Users Guide.

Thanks for your help, I will try the plugin.
The grouping however was not even done manually by me, I just imported a number of clips with their audio track, I was doing some basic editing, dragging clips from right to the left to include them in the progressing project, and then all of a sudden, when I dragged the video for some clip, the audio doesn't move with it anymore if you know what I mean...same effect as if the ' ignore event grouping' was turned on.

Pls note that the newest build of Vegas 64 bit is 683 - nearly 100 builds newer than the build you are using.
