Event Pan/Crop in V12

Recently upgraded to Version 12, 64 bit. Have only processed a few short projects so far. But one thing seems to be constant. Repeated use of the Pan/Crop feature causes the program to shut down. This has been very consistent. Seems that after several uses of this feature the program just crashes.

Was just wondering if I am the only lucky guy in the world that is having this problem? If not, does anyone know of a fix?

I just put 6 jpg's in a video and pan and cropped them all, no problem.

Try reducing the photos to no larger than 1000x750 pixels in size before you bring them into your Vegas project. The program can perform much more efficiently when it's not down-rezzing huge photos for its preview.

Funny, but I can't remember how many years ago I worked on PAL resolution. Tell me rather what to do when working on Full HD project (reduce pictures to 1000x750 pixels?!?)?

For hi-def, try reducing your photos to 2000x1500 pixels.

Steve, as far as I remember, only reducing picture width to 1920 solved the problem entirely. I mean to say that in this case ALL the pictures were rendrered OK (smooth zooming), otherwise I had problems with some of the pictures (not all!).

I think that I used width slightly higher than 1920, buth lower than 2000 and the problem remained. Note that I worked with stereoscopic pictures (side-by-side).

I just redid my test with 7 images all PSD's of at least 30 megs - approximately 3875 x 2592 in size. rendered to 720 30 fps - No problem. Smooth and I spaced the crop and keyframe movement in every file.

My machine is a mid-level 6 core Amd and a 1 gig video card (5570) but GPU does run on it, 16 Gig's memory. Actually the slide show looks very nice.

Reduced all of my photos and nothing changed. Program has now crashed when I selected the Event FX icon on one of the photos. It is just one of those issues that can not be explained I guess. I just know it did not happen with V11, and my computer has not changed.
