every other burn is succesful

Need your help:

Every other burn is succesful...and it is quite literally every other burn for 1hr 15 minute DVD.

This is the error message that appears on the unsuccesful burns:

So am I looking at hardware or software problem...I also have the screensaver off durning burns.

Well, you are luckier than I am! I also have only every other burn work, BUT, I don't get any errors! Whether it works or not it says successful! It least you know your burn went bad.

I just gave up and use Roxio to burn, and DVD-A2 to prepare.

Last night I updated my firmware on tehe Pioneer DVR-104 even though it was already updated to burn 4x discs. I started with those first so I thought I might have messed up. But I updated it and the chipset and had two sucessful burns. So I don't know if that solves the problem...I didn't go for a third burn. I'll see how it goes this weekend.
