I'm new at this but i just spent 2 weeks learning and editing my first video ( a present for my in-laws) everything is blurry. I have all kinds of media. different size jpegs (2-6mgs),bmp,mpgs. All are slightly indistint. I didn't notice it on the small preview video but when I switched to my computer monitors (3 different monitors at different times) everything looked unfocused compared to running through other apps. I used all the default settings and tried on 2 different computers. I'm using my laptop now because i'm rendering the project to DVD -wr in the hopes the final product is clear. Any help??
i'm hoping i didn't throw away my time and money for this result.

Follow the "Optimize Vegas for speedy video preview" section here:

Switch your preview window setup to "preview (auto)" or "preview (half)", rather than "Draft(auto)". You will have to make a decision what project properties resolution you will use. For example, if you have 10 mpeg files of a certain resolution and 3 avi files, select the mpeg resolution in your project properties. The mpegs will be sharp, but the others won't, because they will need to be resized to the project's size.
