Are 'Ex Flies' a bit like Monty Python's 'Ex Parrots'?
Either being viable for on the shoulder work.........

Happy Holidays

Great footage. Just don't know if I'd want the weight of the EX1 added to the weight of my head when the chute opens....or when I hit the ground.

Take care and have a Merry Christmas.

Bob.

Good stuff, but ... Sorry to evade the real point, Douglas.

Just before half way through, the two skydivers are passing over two adjacent fields. One has a starburst or rising sun pattern cut into it and the other has sort of an eye shape. Both are unusual, sort of "crop circle"-type designs. Any idea how or why they came to be there?

Where is it? Utah or elsewhere?

We're in Eloy, Arizona, about 50 miles southeast of Phoenix.
The half circles are the same as any crop circle you'd see anywhere in the US, set that way because of how the irrigation system moves.
The starburst is a gravel pit that has several entrances/exits.
The "eye"is a motocross track, although most of us refer to it as "the sperm" because of its big long tail that comes off the back of the "eye."

Used to live in Phx and go to Eloy for a Gran Prix that was run thru downtown area. Great stuff. If you get a chance go over to the glider port on the west side of town. And don't miss the TeePee in Phoenix, 44th St and Indian School Rd.

Was at the Glider Port today, winds too high for jumping. Great facility, got another half hour of glider time in.

Yes, they are. I strongly advise nailing either of them to their perch.

Spot/DSE,

Can you tell me your work flow using Sony Vegas Pro 8 and the EX1? Render settings etc.
A) HD to SD to regular DVD
B) HD to Blue Ray
C) HD to HD DVD
D) HD to Web

Is it better to shoot in 720 for any of these or should you always shoot at 1080?

How does the EX1 compare to the Canon A1 as far as image goes once it is rendered out using Vegas? and does the uncompressed audio of the EX1 make that big of a difference compared to the A1?

Thanks for the explanations. I knew those two fields didn't look like things I had seen before.
