EX1 editing workflow question

May be one of the drawbacks of early adoption ...

After shooting 25 mins worth on one of the 8 Gb cards, the mp4 files need running through the Sony Browser software to convert to MXF, ready for the Vegas timeline.

If I have stopped / started the camera say 20 times, there are 20 clips to be converted, but to find each one, I have been going through two levels of folders (BPAV, then CLPR), then each clip is in its own folder - in my case 072_0005_01 etc)

I'm hoping I'm missing something - does the software have a function somewhere where I can simply tell it to "find and convert all clips" ??

When you open the clip browser there are two ways to import clips. The bottom browser is the one to use and converts the clips straight to mxf files. If you import one file you can rename it. You can also right click + control and open up as many files as want but then you can't rename them!

Peter, for your own sanity, you might want to go into the "Others" menu and modify your naming conventions.

You can set for each project, we have ours set for each EX. Avoids confusion about which cam shot what.
