I am doing a project with two cameras. I used the multi-cam feature and next thing that I know, is all my camera icons in the toolbar dissapeared, and I have to go to tools/scripting/excalibur/cameras/ etc, for every camera swith that I want to do. How do I get them back on the toolbar?
You want to double click on a blank area of the toolbar and it should open a menu where you can add shortcuts. Excalibur shortcuts are at the bottom of the list.
There's still a button up there, that did say Excalibur and then all the different camera choices. Now the camera choices are gone, and the Excalibur button is still there, but it's not an Icon that looks like the sun, but just a white colorless button. When you cursor over it, it tells you it's Excalibur. This happened several times before, even on my other computer.
That did it. Another question. How can I get beginning to middle sync'd, but when I get to the end few minutes of project, the audio is back out a little? And how can I get both in sync? Solid footage (both) 57 min.
There have been a couple of methods mentioned in the past. One is to split the audio at a discontinuous point and resync. But what has worked for me (when the drift occurs on externally recorded audio) is to sync the beginning, then go to the end and sync again by "stretching" the audio track ( CTL-drag edge of event, cursor shows a squiggly line under the normal cursor icon) this retains the start anchor point and stretches (or compresses) temporally the audio to fit the new event duration. So if you have a 2 second discrepancy over the length of the event, the audio is progressively displaced, let's say .5 sec at the 25% mark, 1 sec at 50%, 1.5 sec at 75% and 2 sec at the end. The minimal pitch change can't be discerned in this case.
