I ordered my copy of this excellent instructional 2-DVD set from Gary on July 30th and received it quickly, it's superb:

Highly recommend it, I learned a ton of tips for how to create menu-based DVDs, watched the entire section last night ... many features not covered in the documentation, and quick tips for project management + how to create all the buttons and manage media and much more...

Very good job on it - A+ And that's just after watching the menu-based DVD section, looking forward to seeing the rest.

You've got to get this if you use DVD Architect, it's superb.

many features not covered in the documentation

Could you cite some examples? Are they features that aren't covered in Sony's New Features document, either?

Looking at the low price, I'm considering ordering Gary's video, too. Just want to be sure there's something it can help me do that I'm not doing already. Also, I couldn't find a definite answer for this on the site -- is it on VHS or DVD?

Thanks,
Rob

I tell you, there's No substitute for watching an experienced guy go through and create a project from scratch on video like this, which Gary does. Like Spot's dvds for vegas 4/5, Gary's is also an excellent production ..

The main thing I like so far is, it's very clean, he doesn't mumble or beat around the bush, he's very explanative, an excellent teacher on video, using a lot of superb easy to watch closeups (even watching on my small screen tv!).

He should charge more for it. It's worth double his asking price easily.

Anyways, point is -- it's a well done step by step how-to video that really taught me a lot. re Features covered that aren't in the docs, advanced things I learned.. ... like how to quickly drag and drop various media clips the right way into the properties area, how to use the project area in the left to get rid of problems in layering menu titles, a lot of nifty advanced tips I never would've gotten from the docs. Plus how to use it professionally. Very well done.

Do what I did and skip ahead to the "menu based DVD" chapter, that's where a ton of features and how-to's are explained and shown with an actual project, with many variations of how to use different media.

Anyways, it's a top-quality video, better than all of mine to date, and I charge 125/each for mine (in stock trading).

Super job -- get this one. Watchable, well-explained, you "can't not learn exactly what to do" watching him go through a project, with a ton of variations to cover all the bases.

Good work. Will use as a reference a lot in the months ahead. Get it.

Gary is excellant. I call him speedy delivery!! My order was on hold because of mistyped credit card. Gary took care of it over the phone and dvd was on my door steps 24hrs later. The DVD was great I didn't know half of what was on the dvd. His easter egg was great too. He even showed how to use excalliber. You can give me a book and I won't understand anything but show me and I won't forget.
