While trying to add songs as background music to a slide show, I received "an exception has occurred" and the program completely froze. As I had not had this error before when using Sony Vegas 6.0, I removed the last two programs I knew had been added, shut down, rebooted and the problem persisted. I have emailed Sony but have not yet heard back from them.
I've been reading some info online and noticed somewhere in the forum, a user said to install the product updates - I did that and still have the error. It's not a consistent thing - for example, sometimes it might happen with the first song I try to add; other times it might be on the third or fourth. I have rebooted numerous times and tried inserting the FX sound files with no problems. So I'm wondering if the problem lies in the music/songs themselves rather than the program.
If you can offer any advice I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks!
