excessive burn times

I tried to burn a dvd created in architect and it took over 30 hours to burn to disc. It did eventually burn successfully but had some slight glitches I think I can fix.
I am using the Sony dvd direct burner/player model VRD MC3
I can burn discs very quickly from my sony camera with this machine but for some reason it takes forever to burn form dvd architect.
Any suggestions?

Just curious, but are you sure 30 hours is just the burn time? Or does that include preparation time too? Even if it does include preparation time it's still quite excessive, but if you have a very slow computer it would be more understandable than just burn time alone.

You are correct. It is the full process from render to burn. However. the prep time is only and hour or two of that total burn time. Could it be I need a new burner?
My computer is brande new. it is an HP notepad.

What model is your new HP? This topic has me very curious. I have an "old" computer and I can prepare and burn a full single layer DVD in just over an hour...
