Explanation, maybe, for some crashes in V20

I ran into something new with V20. I was panning my audio, one stereo track completely left and another completely right. Every time I tried to play, it locked up Vegas 20 and I had to close it. If I didn't change the audio, it played fine. I then remembered that I had recently change the System audio to use the same audio driver (in this case an M-Audio Duo soundcard). I went into windows and changed to another audio driver/card and the issue cleared up. No more crashes in this case. So maybe could be causing issues for others. Just thought I would throw it out there.

(somehow I originally posted this is audio, I think a moderator moved it about the time I deleted it so this is a new post)

Would be interesting to know the error reported in Vegas.

(Intel 3rd gen i5@4.1GHz, 32GB RAM, SSD, 1080Ti GPU, Windows 10) Not now used with Vegas.

13th gen i913900K - water cooled, 96GB RAM, 4TB M2 drive, 4TB games SSD, 2TB video SSD, GPU RTX 4080 Super, Windows 11 pro

I have found it causes the least conflicts to use your System ASIO driver, in my case Direct Sound Surround Mapper. For Recording, use the lowest latency driver you can find.
