Have you tried adjusting the View Preferences in the upper right corner of the Explorer panel?

You should have Tree View and Summary View checked. You can also check All Files if you'd like to see everything in every folder.

If that doesn't work, it could be related to your operating system. You're not by any chance running Windows 7 64-bit on your laptop, are you?

Yes, I'm using Windows 7 64 bit. I checked the "all files" tab in addition to the other two, but when I click on my documents, none of my media folders show up. I guess I can't use DVD Architect with the laptop... can't even open files up top.

I don't use Windows 7, so don't see this problem. As a workaround, though, you should be able to drag media files from Windows Explorer to the Project Media window.

Thanks TOG, that works! I have the same issue with Vegas Pro and Windows 7, except I can use File- Open to bring things into the timeline. I run Vista Ultimate on my desktop, and it;s all good there.
