Explorer window in 4.0

When the Explorer view is selected and I want to select a file from many in a folder some of the available files will appear in the window. However, if there are additional files within the selected folder the program ofter hangs up when I attempt to scroll down to view the addiditional files in the folder.

Have you guys tried 4.0b? DO you get the same results? Also is the explorer set to preview and is it also set to all files?

There is an auto preview button on the explorer and it looks lite a tilted up arrow with a green play triangle next to it. Is this ON?

There were some fixes in the explorer code for 4.0b. I'm curious if you can reproduce with 4.0b

Ah yes, "There is an auto preview button on the explorer" I do use this. It is on the Media Pool section. I'm talking about the function I use to "get" Media into the Pool itself. I go to look for a clip, and the file tree "freezes" for sometime before it kicks in. It takes a longer time than Windows Explorer - that's the Explorer within V4 I'm talking about - yes?

The problem persisted after loading 4.0b. After checking the auto preview button on the explorer it seems to be working this morning. Seems slower than 3.0, but so far it has not hung up the application.
