Export 3D SBS full 3840x1080 movie? (VMSP 13)

I have a pair of 1080p action cams that I've used to record 3D videos. I just upgraded to Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 13 since it supports 4k. I reasoned I'll be able to use the full resolution of my both cameras and export a side-by-side Full 3840x1080 video.

I've already tried AVC and WMV, but AVC gives "an invalid argument was specified" and WMV accepts the values in the export template settings, but it then snaps to 2048x1280 which apparently is the maximum size.

What are your recommendations for maximizing the resolution and quality of the exported video? I could render to 4k side by side full, but then I get black bars on top and bottom of the video. I don't think it's possible to losslessly crop a video file afterwards...

What are your Video Project Settings?

It won't do you much good to output a 4K video is your project settings are only high-def.

I have set the project to 3840x1080, Side-by-Side Full, and it works fine in the preview. It just refuses to render as such.

Vegas Pro is perfectly capable of rendering in this resolution, so I suppose this is just an artificial crippleware limitation.

I've successfully rendered full SBS 3840x1080 though I don't have anything that can actually play this format. (My TV requires half SBS or top.botton).

The only way I could achieve this if I remember rightly was using "Video For Windows" which resulted in a large .AVI file. I then converted that using handbrake into a MUCH smaller MP4.
