Export as Quicktime for use on Mac within Pro Tools

What is the best codec to use when exporting as Quicktime for use on Mac within
Pro Tools?

Small file size is more important than visual quality.

We keep having problems with the Mac freezing when we open the Quicktime files on it
that are exported from Vegas on the PC.

Any tips gratefully appreciated.

Have you tried the Sorenson V3 codec? Render As>Quicktime>Custom>Video>Video Format>Sorenson Video 3.
Video should also open just fine, as well as DV, Animation, MPEG 4...most of the codecs should open.

I'll try using the Sorenson 3, and work down from there.
