Export data from Vidcap?

The Vegas capture utility has almost everything I need to log footage without actually capturing it. But ... I sure wish I could export the data into CSV or something similar. It makes me nervous to log dozens of hours of footage in a closed-end system.

Does anyone know of any way to get this data out of Vidcap? I've read tons of posts from the archives, but don't see a definitive answer.

I use Veggie Toolkit. Admittedly, it's a workaround, but it was designed as a workaround.

Log the stuff in Vidcap and then do the capture. Once it's in Vegas the toolkit will allow you to output the clip info as text. This tool will also allow you to import a text file and use that as the basis of a vidcap session.

Vidcap itself isn't very helpful but the toolkit will let you import and export stuff with Vegas and then Vegas can feed info to vidcap.

Any way to do that without capturing all the media? Beyond the storage requirements, there's a lot of labor involved in capturing all that media....

A program called StoryLoom looks like it might do what you need.

Based on preliminary tests of Joe's "Storyloom," I can tell you it's a very cool application. Download the demo, you'll quickly see why.
