You can render in draft mode at half rez, and then reimport that to an existing project or new project.

How about the Pixelate filter? Will that do what you want? If so, it can save you the extra rendering step. You can also choose the level of pixelation you want.

. . and you can Key Frame IN the effect and its strength and OUT again . .Loads of options here! If you are running V5 then you've got Bezier curve/mapping to mask a particular area .. . loads and loads to do here!

I didn't even know there was a pixelate filter, so thanks. I just got V5 yesterday after discovering it has swf import support ! Much excited over that (even though it's only up to version 5 import). But I'm having a ball - good stuff is just falling out everywhere.

To me that's the mark of a good and inspiring app - for the first few weeks you get "free inspiration" :-)
