export image file set at 720X480?

Greetings, all:

When I use the built0in script that exports the timeline as a set of image files, I get JPGs at 655X480, just like the snapshot function in the preview window. I am exporting the images to batch-process in Photoshop, and they will eventually go back into the timeline as an image sequence.

The problem is that Vegas is resampling from 720 to 655 and back, and it doesn't need to. I can deal with the fact that the pixels are not the right aspect ratio in Photoshop.

So, is there any way to change the script to export at 720X480 or do I just have to live with resampling twice?

Thanks in advance,
-Don

Never mind. I had searched the archive before asking, but I searched again using better keywords and found my answer.

Thanks,

So what was the answer?

Exporting images at 720x480 and bringing them back that way causes less image degradation and really ought to be the preferred method.

If you export a frame at 654x480, bring it back in, export again, and keep repeating you'll see a black edge creep into your frame fairly quickly because Vegas has to round down the dimensions of the still every time it saves a frame that way. Not a real world example, maybe, but exporting at 720x480 doesn't incur this penalty.
