Export stills OTHER than a jpeg?

Does anyone know if it is possible to export still images from Vegas OTHER than jpegs? And, if jpegs ARE the ONLY file option for exporting stills - is there a way to increase the quality settings?

Yes. Set the preview window to Best/Full. This is just to the left of the little "#" sign on the preview window. This affects the export quality.

Yes. On the filetype drop down, where you see "jpg" (Save As Type), click it at the right arrow and you will see that you can also export as PNG. JPG and PNG are the options.

Thanks. It's too bad we can't do a bmp or tiff (uncompressed). Oh well, hopefully a 5.0 addressed issue.

Don't bank on it. png is a lossless compression format which Vegas handles natively, and it includes alpha. This makes it as good and more useful than tiff.
