OK, the XDCAM editing is going well in Vegas, and now I want to be able to export four separate audio channels out in the MXF that I'm going to store on an XDCAM disc.
I have a stereo sound track and two commentary tracks.
So do I need to set up Vegas into a surround sound mode and point the stereo track to front L/R and the commentary tracks to rear L and R? Or do I need to set up something with buses in a normal stereo project? Or something else?
Do I need to choose "Enable Multichannel Mapping" for the render? And if so, what would I have to check for the Channel surround sound settings connected with that?
I tried enabling the 4 channels in the audio tab of the custom render button for the MXF render, I assume that is needed as well?
XDCAM is cool with Vegas Pro 8, I just have a few things left to figure out. But the help manual in VP8 didn't really have much on how exactly to do the 4-channel audio part.
Thanks.
