Exporting a frame sequence?

Is there a faster way to export a range of frames than one at a time with the Save Snapshot to File or Copy to Clipboard? I want to make animated gifs from 2 second regions in the timeline.

render your project to the vegas frame server and load vegas frame served file into virtualdubMOD and save out targas or jpeg or bmp or png

There are also scripts available that will export a series of snapshots. For a 2 second section, this option may not be much slower than the other options.

I just used a script in Vegas and that worked pretty well.

Can you tell me how to render to the Vegas Frameserver? Not sure I know what that is/where it is. Is that something I need to install separately?

i use tmpgenc... but for what you wanna do the script would be the fastest.
