The MPEG-4 codecs, for me, seem to be the best way to encode video. Usually if I have an AVI I'll pull it into QuickTime Pro and Export the movie using both the MPEG-4 Video and Audio (avaiable with 3ivx) codecs.
I tried to do the same in Vegas, but for some reason, I can't use the MPEG-4 audio codec. It's not in the list of available codecs.
So what I've been having to do is render the video file into AVI, then opening it up in QTP and exporting it. It works, but it's kinda of a pain.
Does anyone know why I can't use the MPEG-4 Audio codec in Vegas?
