Exporting timeline

I'm new to Vegas 7 and I have a few questions.

1) When I capture video shot in HD how come I don't see the same prompts that I used to see in Vegas 5? For example:
Capture all scenes from begining of tape, current tape position, or do nothing, number of frames dropped?
Is this just a new feature not available within Vegas 7?

2) I've shot and captured footage from my camera. Now I don't have a BR burner or player, so I want to deliver the footage is DV. Should I export the timeline as MPEG 2 - DVD NTSC?

3) How come I can't see my video footage in Windows Explorer? I see all the footage as .m2t file format but I don't see any thumbnails even though I have thumbnails enabled in the folder option. Is there some plug-in that I need to download so I can see the individual thumbnails in windows explorer?

1) HD capture is a different utility program, now built into Vegas, from the separate VidCap program that is used for SD capture. They don't behave the same way or offer the same functions.

2) Yes, presumably using one of the widescreen DVD Architect templates.

3) .m2t files are MPEG2. You probably don't have a generic MPEG2 codec on your system and therefore Windows Explorer can't open them to grab thumbnails. I'm just guessing here though ... i've never thought to look at a directory containing video files with thumbnails on.
