ExpressFX VST plugins missing in 32bit Vegas 9

I am used to certain plugins (effects) not showing up in 64 bit Vegas, but here there is the other way around. Many of the Sony ExpressFX sound effects I use in the 64 bit version, are missing in Vegas 32bit. I use Vegas 9.

I have the same two VST search paths in both versions:
C:\Program Files (x86)\VSTplugins
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steinberg\VstPlugins

Where are they gone?

Not sure what you're looking for, but "Sony ExpressFX" are DirectX plugins, not VST.

Unless something has changed in 9, they would be located in your Shared Plug-Ins folder.

Thanks for the correction, you are right.
Nevertheless, these effects show up in Vegas 9 64bit but are absent in the 32 bit version. The questionj is how I can tell Vegas 32 to add them to the list of effects.

Well, I don't have 9, but here's an old trick going back to the Sonic Foundry days that still works when Vegas doesn't see the folder (don't know if this is your problem).

1) Close all Sony applications.
2) Temporarily rename the Shared Plug-Ins folder to something like Shared Plug-InsX
3) Open Vegas. It may complain about missing plugins. Let it.
4) Close Vegas
5) Rename the folder back to its original Shared Plug-Ins
6) Open Vegas again, let it find all the plugins as if new

Don't know what the issues are with 9, but this trick has found many "missing" plugins in the past . . .
