Extend Background Music Thru Multiple Menu Pages

I have resigned myself to using 3 menu pages to list all 15 scenes on my movie.

I want to add background music to the menu so that it continues to play as the viewer moves back and forth between the 3 menu pages. I added a .wav file to the menu, but it only plays when the first menu page is viewed, i.e., you select the 2nd menu page and you have silence.

Is there some way to get the background music to continuously play for all the menu pages?

Each menu page is a separate .vob file, so I know of no way to get music to span the different pages. Commercial movies fade the music in for each page, best compromise I know of.

Thanks musicvid. That explains the problem, although that was not the answer I was hoping to hear.

I am surprised that such a seemingly simple feature could not be incorporated into the programming code.

It has nothing to do with DVDA's programming code. What musicvid describes are the rules of the DVD specifications developed by a committee made up of several media companies. The feature you're asking for is not possible.
