I just returned my Sony DRX-710UL external burner. I was very frustrated at not being able to burn directly from DVDA due to the software bug. It locks up every time I selected prep & burn. Sony said they will fix it in the next build. Prepping with DVDA and burning with Nero was an option but took longer and the burner was fussy about media. I was using a laptop with the Sony burner and it doesn't always like the media (Verbatim 8x). I burn the same media (same batch) in my BenQ internal drive of my desktop using DVDA with no problem. Does anyone have a recommendation on an external DVD burner that you know works well off a laptop?
