External Monitor

I have a Texas Instruments OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394 card,
which I bought to test out the External Monitor feature of
Vegas Video, but it says that...

This device supports recompression
Hot pluggable device
Device unavailable

The device shows up in the device manger list under Windows
2000, and seems as if it should be working, but it does
not. Your Video Capture software also says that no device
is avaliable...

Any thoughts?

Thanks

seems like a driver thing. More info here:

The driver that I am using is the one that came with
Windows 2000... So how could it be a driver problem? Or
rather, what should I try?

Thanks...

I too am using the drivers that came with windows 2000 and
I have had no joy. The worst thing is my device is
recognised as being available !!!! yet I am getting nothing
through to the camera.

Is Sonic Foundry going to sort this one out. I am seeing
more and more pal users, who gave VV a try, drift back to
premiere... and now with premiere 6 they may get some joy
out of their OHCI card. I originally marvelled at the great
audio, the rock steady Sonic Foundry architecture ????
